Cult of Luna
The amount of smoke for atmospherics used by the band in their performance is intense yet fits the mood and tone. Instrumental genius with dark powerful vocals hypnotise the audience.
This was my first gig as a aspiring photographer at a musical venue that wasn't a local bar, social club or make shift music venue. At the time I was still acquiring the technical aspects of shooting with low lighting. I think I shot this with a Canon 400d with a 28-80 kit lens. It drove me mad for years, but I just didn't have the access to the equipment maybe more suitable to what I needed for this genre of photography.
To be fair i'm glad I learnt the hard way. When I was able to gain access of use to the appropriate equipment, I thoroughly appreciated what I had and how far I had come. The same typically goes with my extensive knowledge of editing software. Every so often I have the thought of If I knew then what I know now but truth is right now I just want to go and shoot some creative musicians and venues.
