Cult of Luna
The amount of smoke for atmospherics used by the band in their performance is intense yet fits the mood and tone. Instrumental genius with dark powerful vocals hypnotise the audience.
This was my first gig as a photographer at a venue that wasn't a bar, social club or make shift music venue. At the time I was still learning the technical aspects of shooting with low lighting. I think I shot this with a Canon 400d with a 28-80 kit lens. It drove me mad for years but I just didn't have the access to the equipment maybe more suitable to what I needed for this genre of photography.
To be fair i'm glad I learnt the hard way. When I was able to have access of use to the appropriate equipment, I really appreciated what I had and how far I had come. The same goes with my knowledge of editing software. Sometimes I have the thought of If I knew then what I know now but truth is now I just want to go and shoot some new musicians and venues.
